Ministries
Times have changed. The church used to count on people coming to them. We no longer take this for granted. We believe that if the local church is not a bright spot in the community, we are not doing our job. We believe if the local church is not helping Jesus’ good reputation, we should stop what we’re doing.
Why do we have so much activity at Church of the Living Christ? Because we love God and want the chance to love you too. We believe that God has the power to change lives because he did it with ours. If we can be a part of your life change, that’s what we are here for. That’s why we do what we do.
Discipleship Council
Sunday Ministries
Prayer
Both Pastor Nate and Pastor Andrea are available to pray after each worship service with anyone who is in need of a meaningful conversation with God.
NurseryCare
Child care for those cute little bundles of joy is available during all Sunday morning activities.
Children In Worship
Our Sunday morning "Children In Worship" program is a great way for children age three and a half to second grade to release their wiggles and God given energy. Our trained teachers incorporate dance, bible lessons, creative response time and many forms of innovative worship in each lesson. The children are dismissed near the beginning of each worship service by Pastor Nate or Pastor Andrea.
Kids and Teens Discipleship Hour
Discipleship hour is offered Sunday mornings to youth in third grade through high school from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM. Our knowledgeable and energetic teachers build meaningful relationships with students as they engage them in interactive biblical teachings that foster real life conversations. The middle and high school students also meet at different times throughout the month. Check out the Youth Gathering Schedule for more information.
Adult Discipleship
Adults are invited to connect with one another while enjoying refreshments from 10:00 AM- 11:00 AM and to participate in varying prayer, discipleship, and service opportunities. Small groups also meet at other times throughout the week.
GroupLife
There are three kinds of groups to be involved with at CLC. Community Groups, Covenant Groups, and Ministry Teams. The mission of GroupLife is to build community through friendships, spiritual connections, and service. Each kind of group offers a distinctive experience that will help you grow spiritually. There are groups that have been meeting, and a few still in the formative period; if you would like information about joining a group, please contact the church office (231) 924-4670 or e-mail our ministry assistant, Alysa Richards.
Worship Council
Church of the Living Christ offers two distinct worship venues. Though
the feel and experience at each may be different, we are united as one community of grace sharing our faith in Jesus, the Living Christ. On Sunday mornings we invite the entire community to come together for worship, learning, and building relationships. With opportunities for every age group, you will easily find your place at CLC.

Matamoros, Mexico
The needs of the families in Matamoros, Mexico are so profound and the opportunities for service endless. Yet, despite the poverty and deplorable conditions, the Mexican people in this area demonstrate a remarkable resilience and hopefulness that make them highly receptive to the presence and assistance we offer during our mission trips there. For the past eight years members of the CLC work teams have experienced the warmth and hospitality of these people who are eager to renew friendships and work with us to improve the quality of life for themselves and their neighbors.
